[Tip] how to solve when casting to Chromecast doens’t work

Hello, this is Zimly.

Lately, we have been receiving many inquiries about casting media to Chromecast. ‘Network unstable; Can’t play media’ message pops up and you can’t play media using Chromecast 😦

This post will show you how to solve the problem. It’s very simple and easy, so follow me!

eng_0011. Go to Control Panel β†’ Windows Firewall

eng_0022. On the upper left, click ‘Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall’

eng_0033. Check all four services:

  • TSSegmentator.exe
  • zc_encoder.exe
  • Zimly.exe
  • ZimlyService.exe

4. Now Restart your computer and play Zimly again, then you will see videos playing in Chromecast smoothly.

Oh, and don’t forget to update Zimly to latest version!
